Succession Planning – How Do I Do That? Strategies for Transitioning Your Practice

This year’s half-day, three hour morning seminar is schedule for Friday, August 23 at the State Bar Center, 5302 Eastpark Blvd. in Madison. Three CLE credits, including ethics, have been applied for. The seminar is also being offered as a live, online webcast.
The program will include lawyers who have closed and merged their firms as well as ethics experts and insurance guidance.
The three panel discussions will cover selling, merging and closing a practice, as well as discussions on how to find and mentor successors. Panelist include Dean Dietrich of Dietrich VanderWaal Law Group in Wausau, Steve Sorenson of von Briesen & Roper in Oshkosh, Hector de la Mora, also of von Briesen & Roper in Waukesha, Tom Schumacher of Bakke Norman in New Richmond, Aviva Kaiser, Ethics Counsel at the State Bar of Wisconsin, and Joe McCarthy, Vice President of Underwriting and Claims at Wisconsin Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company.
